Silence

The Serpent wakes

A newborn falls

The mothers cry

Will tell all

Cries and wails

All throughout

The Serpent smiles

Without a doubt

Morning comes

Once again

The Serpent returns

Lets not pretend

Another death

The Serpent waits

The mothers cry

Its bliss, its bait

All too quick

Echos cease

The Serpent waits

For more bereave

Decades pass

The serpent stayed

To hear its bounty

But nothing changed

The quiet mother

Happens by

A lively, soft corpse

The Serpent died

A fresh grave

Next to One

The SerpentsĀ bed

Dug like the Son

A single tear

Shed that day

For the loss of Son

And forgiveness

No longer at bay
